WITT’S END by Gabriel Chanan

£6.00

Summer 2019. Brexit is imminent. Campaigners for hundreds of causes, worthy, wacky and whimsical, are converging on the chaotic Festival of Freedom in the grounds of a crumbling Berkshire mansion. Can idealistic scatterbrained hostess Emily cope with all the clashing ideologies? Why is her husband plotting to sabotage the event? Can bumptious Gladys from the run-down neighbouring council estate salvage the lost EU regeneration plan? No-one knew then that Covid would upset everything – and that the same issues would then emerge even larger.
