WAYS OF BEING by Katherine Luna Gate

Priscilla and Karen lead completely different lives. The former, in her late fifties, has an established and strong family background. The latter, in her mid forties, is a transgender woman about to leave England and her turbulent past behind.

They meet again, after years of silence, possibly for the last time.

They meet in a hospital’s waiting room, where they will visit the man that tore them apart. That waiting time is the only chance they have to solve the past. Will they succeed?

Different ways of being collide in different forms but, in the end, what counts is staying true to oneself.

Priscilla, a mother and grandmother, in her late fifties, with a Liverpool accent.

Karen, a transwoman, in her mid forties, with a south-east accent.
