PAC A MACS & SOMBREROS by James Cass

£3.50

In the English City of Leicester, it is a long-established tradition that all the factories and schools close for two weeks in July each year, before anyone else. ‘The Leicester fortnight.’

And historically virtually everybody from this Midland’s city traipsed off en-masse to the seaside town of Skegness, up on the North Sea Lincolnshire coast. A traditional seaside town with a pier, bingo, penny arcades, fish & chip cafés and plenty of shelters to get out of the cold wind and rain, which are an inescapable feature of holidays on this coast.

In this comedy, initially set in 1975, we meet three couples and their boss on their holidays in ‘Skeggie’ during the Leicester Fortnight
