Set in 1904, this is the story of an imaginary night at an imaginary bar in Montmartre, the artist’s quarter, in the heart of the right bank. The people, the artists and the music portrayed are mainly real and of the period, and all the people portrayed were in and around Paris at the time. This piece can be performed as a ‘jukebox’ style production, but equally could be performed with a small orchestra.
