OH JOYCE by Dave Proctor

£5.00

Joyce Grenfell  (1910-1979) was the quintessential English Comedian from the post-war years.

She was famous for her roles in films, such as The Belles of St. Trinians and Genevieve, for her many appearances on BBC’s Face the Music and also from her own Television programmes

Joyce was known for her characters, her monologues and her humorous songs.

In this play, we bring the spirit of Joyce back and pay homage to this great funny Lady but with all new material.

This play is a monologue for a Lady ‘of a certain age.’ with optional musical backing. The script does require an Announcer.

I have designed this monologue so that the majority of it can actually be read by the actress (e.g. poems, songs, the quiz sketch)
