Description

CHARACTERS

Laura; a very successful business consultant who is devoted to her husband, Dennis.

Dennis; a chronic philanderer and mediocre travel writer who has ambitions to write for TV.

Tanya; very rich, with a house in Mentone, arrogant, selfish and completely regardless of the feelings of others, even her friends.

Gavin; easy going companion of Dennis who left his job as a detective sergeant to play the role of Tanya’s live-in lover, but is actually a blackmailer.

Rev. Clarke [female]; the local vicar who has not long been at Marsh End. She is a close friend of Laura and hates Dennis because she knows about his philandering which Laura does not. She likes a drink, a chat and thinks Marsh End is hopeless having given up on both God and the Devil leaving her nothing worthwhile to do.

Delia Prebble [black or mixed race]; a TV celebrity witch who has just moved to Marsh End. Confident, self-assured she is more than a match for Tanya’s vitriol.

All the characters are middle-aged except Delia who is in her 20s.
