LOOKING FOR CATHERINE by Julia Swain

£3.00

A late-middle aged lady arrives on a mental health ward looking for her friend Catherine. In an attempt to discover where Catherine is she embarks on a biographical conversation with the younger nurse sitting at the desk. We discover how dementia has robbed Catherine of her independence and how her ‘friend’ is desperate to reach her. The play ends with a slightly unexpected twist and reminds us of the way in which dementia indiscriminately picks its victims.
