THE BOOK OF CONDOLENCES
by Kieron Connolly
The play is set in a funeral home, complete with empty coffin.
And the question from the outset is – who exactly is the coffin for?Is it for Paul, a struggling talent agent trying to come to terms with lost love?Or is it for Tom or Margo, both of them struggling actors with traumatic pasts? But don’t let the synopsis fool you. ‘The Book of Condolences’ is warm, funny, passionate; a little bit mental and utterly griping.
The ‘Book of Condolences’ was first performed in Dublin, 2016 – The cast was; Louise Dunne, Owen O’Gorman, Daniel O’Brien, Aislinn Ni Ualllachain, Suzanne Cooper.

General note re ages: age is in no way important, and the piece was written with this in mind. Just so long as there isn’t a great disparity in the ages of the five actors taking to the stage
